Why less “I” is a happier Me

 You know how kids see things in highly egocentric terms?  Everything that happens is about them or in relation to them. 

As we grow, we tend to grow out of this, but not completely.  When we’re tired, busy, stressed this egocentric lens egocentric lens will once again narrow our focus. 

The best leaders and happiest people, tend to adopt a more “Allocentric” perspective on life.

Great questions to catch yourself or help someone elevate their perspective. 

  1. If you took yourself out of this story, what would still be true? Or  
  2. In five years who will this story be about – you or someone else?
